Speakers

Katy Schultz

“Well that’s not what I was planning on…”

Life hasn’t always worked out “as she planned” but she’s learned through some life lessons (discovering her purpose in life, finding new passions, broken dreams, divorce, infidelity, single mom, damaged relationships) that trusting God’s plans is easier said than done. Whether it has been a rough day, week, month, or season, or you’re just looking for small positive changes to make, she is going to give you hope, mindset shifts, and new perspectives to help you get through each season of life while trusting God through it all.

Katy is an authentic, brutally honest, annoyingly positive, Jesus loving, mom, and farmer. Katy owns Tri-Fecta Farms with her siblings and best friends— Kari and Nick in Fox Lake, WI. She graduated from UW-Platteville with a degree in agribusiness and was a marketing and communications professional before returning to buy her home farm. At the farm, growing animals, crops, and people is their passion and God’s calling for her family.

In addition, Katy is a co-founder of Wanted Women’s Christian Conference series, currently serving on the Innovation Center for US Dairy Sustainability Alliance, a past PDPW (Professional Dairy Producers) board president,  a passionate keynote speaker, and a personal assistant to her partner in crime— 11 year old Londyn.

Lisa McCormick

Lisa speaks on the topics of sex trafficking, drug addiction, bullying, acceptance, and her faith throughout her personal journey as a parent of a sex trafficking victim. She educates groups to know the signs of at-risk youth, to not be afraid to talk to them, show them you care, and to give them someone to trust. Jeffrey McCormick, Lisa’s son, was a 17-year-old boy from rural Wisconsin recruited into a sex trafficking ring out of Madison and exploited until his death in September, 2016. Lisa has made it her purpose to share her family’s story so others understand trafficking and how easily our vulnerable children can get caught up in it. Lisa walks alongside parents, grandparents, caregivers and all others, giving hope that they are not alone in this journey.

Lisa is a member of the Wisconsin Anti Human Trafficking Advisory Council and is featured in the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families documentary film on youth sex trafficking in Wisconsin titled, “It Happens Here”. She is a frequent speaker throughout Wisconsin for educational and professional organizations as well as at schools, churches and public awareness events.

“Lord, you have heard the desire of the humble, you will prepare their heart, you will cause your ear to hear.” Psalm 10:17

“I pray that everyone can open their hearts and minds to hear of the atrocities that are happening in our world and feel compelled to get up and do something, anything about it. It only takes one person to make a difference, to be the changemaker, to be like Christ. It takes a lot of strength for a parent to humble themselves before everyone they know and admit that it was hard.” ~Lisa

Sue Cotten

On October 9th, 1971, Sue met Jesus in the scriptures. It was a surprise to Sue that God was not only the grand creator she envisioned but also her heavenly father.  For more than 50 years the scriptures have been transforming her life – whether it was in times of joy or sorrow, confusion or clarity, turmoil or peace.

Sue’s message will guide you forward on your life journey in an interactive presentation that will challenge, inspire and strengthen your walk with Christ. It offers a fresh encounter with familiar Bible passages, allowing the Spirit to bring new freedom and joy to your heart.

When Sue is not reading a book, hiking or rowing she treasures time with her husband, Rich, their three adult children, two grandchildren, and their dog. She also enjoys spending time with good friends and kind neighbors.  Sue’s sole claim to fame is she holds the record for the most gutter balls in a row in a bowling game at Kent State University in Ohio.
